The San Gabriel Police Officers' Association is the union body for the police officers of the San Gabriel Police Department. The membership is comprised of non-supervisory police officers and detectives. The main goal of the SGPOA is to protect the rights of each member, ensure fair working conditions, benefits, wages, and proper training for each employee. We continuously work closely with the Chief of Police and the members of the City Council to accomplish these goals for our members.

In addition, the SGPOA has taken it upon itself to work in close partnership with the community and strives to provide the best police services that each community member deserves. SGPOA members also volunteer their time and effort in assisting various charities in San Gabriel and the surrounding communities. We are proud to support and provide donations for local organizations that provide resources for children, families of fallen and/or injured officers, and other charitable organizations affecting our community.

The City of San Gabriel is located approximately 10 miles east of Downtown Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley. With a population of over 42,000, the city is serviced and protected by roughly 50 dedicated, and highly trained professional police officers. San Gabriel is also known for its historical landmark, the San Gabriel Mission (Founded on September 8th, 1771) and known for its shopping centers and eateries.
